Hashcat files difference
#1
Question
is there a difference between a *.22000 and *.hc22000 file
I managed to get the PKMID via wifite, the file was saved as *.22000, do I need to convert it to *.hc22000?

There is no difference between .22000 and .hc22000

hashcat determines the hash type via code in the file's header and not by extension.

The format is explained here:
